Matthew 5, verses 4 through 12 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. These
words of our Savior as He began His sermon on the mount have come to
be known as the Beattitudes, or Beautiful Attitudes. Never have I
seen these beautiful attitudes more clearly or eloquently expressed
as in the writings of Deanne Stephanie Trahan, a humble and loving
servant of the living God who loves to share the experiences of her
walk with God. She strives to offer encouragement, hope, and
edification to others who likewise struggle day to day, as we all
continue our growth in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus
Christ. Of course, being her husband, I may be considered a wee
bit biased in this regard. Perhaps we should allow you the reader
to be the one to judge on the quality of these writings which we
believe have been guided under direct inspiration. All who follow
God on this journey have something to offer, and sharing our
experiences can be such a meaningful experience. We are all here
to learn in a humble heartfelt repentent attitude. We hope all who enter these pages can receive comfort and
healing in your spiritual lives as you read through Deanne's
articles. | ||
