How I love my First Love,
For He is always above,
The joy of each dawning,
Starting fresh each morning.
How my First Love loves me,
Giving everything we see,
For nothing is too much,
From His generous touch.
How we love to love,
For this is given within,
Commandments and laws,
Containing no flaws.
How loving Your Way,
Reminds us each day,
GOD our Mighty One,
Together with Son.
How loving Your Law,
It's always with me,
Golden pearl settings,
Stunning they be.
How glorious Your love,
Embellishing vessels,
Ribbons of royal beauty,
Designed in me.
How Your love today,
Mixes delicate clay,
Sensitive mouldings,
Finished like kings.
How I love my First Love,
For He is always with me,
My meditation, my hope,
All the days of my life.
