Scenic Country Road

On The Way To Nuriootpa

'Twas a bit of a rainy day,

When we drove along the highway,
Passing through the town of Dutton,
We saw shorn sheep and some mutton.

If you blinked your eyes a few times,
While singing old nursery rhymes,
You may well miss the small township,
Save it for another day trip.

Lyndoch was also on this route,
Free lemons please take the nice fruit,
Right beside our magazine stand,
To those who may put out their hand.

Then onto our Barossa gem,
Where we accessed the ATM,
Next to Gawler not far away,
Where we shopped at Coles on Thursday.

Got what we needed from the stores,
Purchased my things and you got yours,
Groceries and tomato seeds,
A pleasant heap of combined needs.

Hardware, software, computer stuff,
Some I.T. jobs can be quite rough,
But Jim's got this worked out today,
In between the errands hooray!

Getting off the short waiting list,
We fit in the Podiatrist,
That will be helpful for my feet,
Dancing on air will be so sweet.

Book drop at the library must,
Be on the to do list or bust,
Therefore little is left to do,
Was this entertaining for you?
