Beautiful Rainbow Opal

Opalescent Opal

From Outback dusty beyond,

Where blue tongue lizzies respond,
Coober Pedy gemstones found,
Opalescent underground.

Mesmerizing to fix my eyes on thee,
Opal colours fully delighteth me,
Ribbons of bright iridescent rainbow,
Exquisite rotations in sunlight glow.

Playing in blue and turquoise green,
Sets a wonderful beachy scene,
Jeweller's loupe inspection glass,
Determines value and the class.

Speckles of yellow and red,
Flashing fiery orange bed,
Heavenly shades of bright blue,
Held in gold there is the clue.

Twenty four carats gold band,
Placed lovingly on your hand,
Lighting spark from opal land,
Deepening colours so grand.

Veins meandering or straight,
Discovering with my mate,
Andamooka and Lightning Ridge,
Australia's opals ridgey didge.

You know God made these valuable gems,
What do you see looking through your lens?
Wouldn't you like to know my fair friend?
Come and see with me on this journey's end.
