Periwinkle places show,
Gorgeous purple blue glow,
Their colour draws tired eyes,
With sleepy outdoor sighs.
The paddocks filled with contrasts,
With look-at-me broadcasts,
Impossible to drink it in,
They neither toil or spin.
Poetry dropped from this quill,
Gave her sufficient thrill,
Ornately florid roses,
Healing balm of Moses.
Clematis, Delphinium,
Blueberry, Vaccinium,
Hyacinth, Hydrangeas,
Banksias, Salvias.
Periwinkle oh so blue,
I truly do love you,
For God has made you divine,
On Australia's coastline.
Forget-me-not my sweet friends,
For indulgent pretends,
You don't know where I'm going,
Remember my smile growing.
